Quart-A-Nancy Point - Renovation
Major renovations are complete. We will continue to
spruce things up each time we visit. Some of the things we accomplished over the
last year or so are:
- Replacement of selected furniture and fittings, including
a new dresser and night tables in the Master Bedroom, a new Queen bedroom
suite in Bedroom #2, two new twin
box-spring/mattress sets (or King combined) and night tables in Bedroom #3,
and a new Kitchen table and chairs
- Bathroom upgrade for the 2nd (north) living area,
including vanity/sink/mirror, toilet, and open-air shower
- Interior Painting and redecorating (including some
striking photographs of Cooper Island in the 1960s)
- Upgrade of selected windows and doors
- Cobblestone paving of the interior courtyard
- Erosion control, landscaping and plantings in the
courtyard and around the house
- Roof refinishing with waterproof coating to prevent
leaks and improve water collection
- Jetty upgrades to allow direct docking of the CIBC boat
